Note:  Since the majority of the local church at Elizabethtown, Kentucky, are standing with Pastor Eric Phelps, they continue to be considered, for all intents and legal purposes, the congregation of the Elizabethtown Church.

This letter to the local radio station overstepped the bounds of The Church of God to legally discontinue a radio broadcast that belonged to someone else.  After the broadcast was not heard for a couple of weeks, Pastor Phelps contacted the radio station to ask why they had removed his broadcast.  They informed him they had been told to discontinue his broadcast because he was no longer the pastor of the local church.  They apologized for their error and immediately reinstated Pastor Phelp's broadcast.

Greetings to all of you and May God Bless You in your efforts to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

I’m writing this letter in regards to our account with the ID # of XXXXX.  As of October 12th, 2005, Eric Phelps’ ministers license was revoked, and he was removed as pastor of The Church of God.  I, Herbert Joshua Graham, have replaced Eric Phelps as pastor since 10-12-05.  We ask that you please remove Eric Phelps from this account.  Due to legal reasons, I am unable to release any further information.  If you need to speak to our Regional Overseer, you may contact him at 1-859-625-8243.

We have sent the payment for this month, but we will no longer be responsible for any bills Eric Phelps may obtain.  We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you, and we will be praying for you.  We do hope to use your station in the future to reach a lost and dying world.
